What piece of art would you say was the most emotionally hard and draining to make?

Replied on: September 12, 2026 at 10:25:32 AM

it’s actually really hard for me to choose one particular piece. a lot of the time i draw pretty freely and really enjoy making things. sometimes something i never expected just comes out naturally, which is one of my favorite parts of drawing. but when i’m trying to break away from habits i’ve developed over time, it can definitely get difficult and draining. that’s when challenging myself and being willing to fail becomes really important to me. failure often shows me something new, and then through practice i slowly get better at understanding it—whether it’s lines, colors, or a certain way of drawing. but once i get too comfortable with something, i usually want to let go of it a little and move toward something unknown again. it feels a bit like a cycle. it’s not always a comfortable process, and strangely, the more things i learn, the harder it can get sometimes. but i think letting go of what i already know and bringing something unfamiliar into my work is really important. sometimes it makes me disappointed in myself, but other times it feels like i get to start all over again. i’m not sure if this really answers your question:shy because it’s really hard for me to choose just one piece. they all come with different emotions and different challenges

Do you have any tattoo? Or have you ever done a drawing that was later tattooed on somebody else?

Replied on: September 12, 2026 at 9:42:19 AM

yes! i have a few tattoos. most of them were done by friends, some are tattoo artists, and some just like to draw. i like inviting people to freehand something on my body. recently, a close friend i’ve known for 10 years and i tattooed little shooting stars on each other to represent our friendship hehe sometimes friends also ask if they can get my drawings tattooed, and i’m always very happy to say yes. it makes me really happy and grateful to know that someone wants to keep my work on their skin

Hii I was reading ur answers and I was wondering: do you think you can be able to actually become an artist if you’re not approaching art the way you do, meaning it’s not something that comes to you freely and whenever but instead you really have to take your time, take a seat and focus because it doesn’t really come that easily? I don’t know if I explained myself :///

i feel like everyone finds their own way of making art. my previous answer was really just about how i personally work, it has its freedom, but of course it has its limitations too. taking the time to sit down and really focus on creating can be a really good thing too. maybe working like that gives you more space to think about and develop your ideas, and that kind of attention eventually stays in the work. so whether creating comes to you naturally, or you need to actively make time and move toward it, they're simply different ways of entering the work. in both cases, you might discover what you want to create and communicate, or sometimes simply enjoy making something. and whatever comes from that will carry something of you in its own way, and i think people can feel that too🌷

what makes you happy: Good books

Hiii I just wanted to ask how much time do you usually spend on your art? What’s the longest you’ve spent on a single drawing? Do you ever get unsure or tired of a piece of yours? Ty :yeah:

Replied on: August 22, 2026 at 5:26:24 AM

it's hard for me to say exactly how much time i spend making art. creating is just part of my life, and it's also one of the ways i feel most alive. some people can divide their time more linearly and have a certain "creative time," but that's always been difficult for me... whenever i have free time, i draw. it's a habit i've had since i was little, simply because it brings me complete happiness. recently though, i've also been practicing having "time without creating." when i can fully enjoy each moment, i find that creativity comes back to me from unexpected places. the longest i've spent on a drawing is maybe around two months? it's hard to measure time (i have a terrible memory lol). sometimes i'll find an old drawing i never had time to color and come back to finish it years later. other times i'll stay focused on one painting for a long time. when i work from a sketch, i have to control the work while also letting it grow. without a sketch, it feels like facing the unknown—nervous and exciting, and sometimes very time-consuming. you have to become friends with the work, observe it, challenge it, and learn how to handle it. you never know what the result will be. sometimes it's quick, sometimes it takes forever, so all you can do is enjoy the process. and like you mentioned in your last question, there are definitely moments of doubt and tiredness. but i'm usually not that interested in work where i can already see the outcome. i like challenging it in those moments. since i was young, i've had a habit of always finishing a piece no matter what—even if i don't like it that much anymore. those moments often become really good opportunities, and something i never could have imagined comes out of them. that's very exciting to me. it's actually a little like being in love—both sweet and painful, but if you asked me whether i'd do it all over again, i'd still make the same choice! i hope this answers your questions and is helpful in some way. i'm really happy i got to share these thoughts with you :') i ended up saying a lot haha
